Objective

The objective of this position is to clean and maintain the warehouse, parking lot and storage facilities

 

Qualifications

Elements of Position

  • Operate sweeper and scrubber in appropriate areas around the plant
    • Empty garbage cans and dumpsters

    • Pick up all fruit from floor
    • Wash/sanitize fruit belts and packing equipment
    • Ability to operate packing equipment
    • Understanding of shed sanitation requirements

Environmental factors

Work area is inside warehouse and outdoors in all types of extreme weather conditions. Indoor areas are well ventilated with moderate noise, well lit with moderate dirt and dust, occasional chemical odors from cleaning supplies.

 

Safety factors

Hazards encountered in this position include foot traffic, high pressure hot water, cleaning chemical.

 Objective

The objective of this position contains several duties though out the packing facility, Stacking, lifting, dumping fruit, picking up fruit from the floor, cleaning, crawling in tight places, working in wet areas for a long period of time, packing, sorting and any other duties that are assigned  under the direction of the Line labor supervisor.

Qualifications

  • Able to lift 40 pounds overhead repetitively over work shift
  • Ability to communicate and work well with others
  • Perform repetitive functions paying attention to detail
  • Able to work in constant cold temperature (35 degrees)
  • Ability to work with and around water for a long period of time
  • Perform all assigned duties in a proper and timely manner
  • Ability to follow and obey management instruction

Objective

The basic objective of this position is to distribute fruit bins, empty bins, packaging material and other miscellaneous objects to the necessary areas or on/off trucks in a safe and efficient manner.

Qualifications

  • Person must have knowledge of using a forklift in a safe and secure manner
  • Understand all functions of the forklift and be able to inspect the lift before a work day
  • Be able to move empty/full bins, material to designated areas accordingly
  • Set and attain goals, maintain attention to detail working within deadlines
  • Ability to read, write, count, multitask and communicate well with others
  • Warmerdam Packing, LP forklift training – additional ability to drive in confined areas
  • Previous forklift experience required
  • Capable to perform repetitive functions paying attention to detail
  • Flexible to work 7 days and overtime on any shift if necessary

 

Elements of Position

  • Unload cargo and load and balance cargo on and off of trucks
  • Organize fruit inventory in warehouse
  • Follow all safety procedures; honk at curtains, wear seat belt, respect pedestrians

Job Title QC Tech I, II & III

Objective

The primary duty of this position is to monitor and check the company’s product for grade and quality consistency.

Qualifications

  • Ability to read, write in English
  • Ability to communicate well with others
  • Prior fresh produce packing experience desired
  • Basic computer and spreadsheet skills
  • Availability to work all shifts, all days of the week
  • Understand company food safety concepts
  • GED or High School diploma desired
  • Ability to use refractometer, penetrometer, stem-pull measuring equipment, firm tech device, color and size grids
  • Good visual acuity with no colorblindness

 

Elements of Position

  • Inspect raw and finished product quality, condition and grade against USDA and company standards
  • Prepare computer spreadsheets
  • Monitor product carton labeling correctness
  • Evaluate food safety activity
  • Complete documentation records
  • Computer entry of QC data

Job Title: Shipping Dispatcher

Objective
The basic objective of this position is to provide clerical and basic office support for shipping office and top of the line customer service. Maintains good communication within all departments, customers, and truck drivers.

 

Qualifications
·         Have good math and general office skills

·         Ability to communicate well with others (Bi-Lingual Desired)

·         Capable to handle multiple tasks at one time (multi-task)

·         High School Diploma, GED, or 2yrs minimum related work experience

·         Flexible to work 7-days and overtime on any shift if necessary

 

Elements Of Position

·         Answer phone calls and assists on directions, scheduling appointments, inventories and order status properly and accurately

·          Works with sales on special loading instructions and resolving any problems that arise

·         Monitor Famous System’s inventory, determine problem orders for resolution, and completes export certificates (PHYTOS)

·         Checks-in all truck, assigns door, and hands out the order to be loaded accordingly, effectively, and accurately

·         Checks-out all trucks with accurate BOL (Bill Of Lading), by checking counts and tags turned in along with PICK TICKET

·         Confirms counts of incoming fruit along with delivery sheet matches and receives into Famous inventory by creating pallet tags

·         Keeps track of all physical inventories, and reports any adjustments and maintains CHEP inventory updated

·         Keeps all sales orders and delivery sheets filed accordingly and effectively

·         Maintain office clean and organized at all times

 

Job Title: Receiving Clerk

Objective
The basic objective of this position is to receive all calls inbound/outbound fruits, containers, packing materials and other miscellaneous items with the proper paperwork handling and verification of accurate documentation
Qualifications
·         Have good math skills and computer knowledge

·         Ability to communicate well with others (Bi-Lingual Desired)

·         High School diploma, GED, or 2yrs related work experience

·         Flexible to work 7-days and overtime on any shift if necessary

Elements Of Position
·         Confirms counts and documentation on any receiving fruit, packaging material, and miscellaneous items

·         Weighs all incoming fruit bins maintaining proper and accurate counts and weights of each growers/block  fruit

·         Input data into Famous system in a timely and accurate manner

·         Signs out with proper BOL all drivers on any outgoing loads of fruit, material, and miscellaneous items

·         Double checks accuracy of all paperwork and resolves all related problems as they arise

·         Performs physical inventories and monitors inventories in Famous to adjust and report if necessary

·         Set and attain goals, maintaining attention to detail, and working within deadlines

·         Maintains communication with growers for updated estimates and communicates information with shed departments

·         Assists on maintaining area clean and organized
